About
My PhD research examines the social and cultural aspects of Finnish translations of Irish literature in the twentieth century. The research question is the following: “How was Irish literature brought, translated and used in twentieth-century Finland?” My research will contribute to the fields of Translation History and Sociology of Translation, and it will draw on the writings of Bruno Latour as well as a number of other thinkers associated with Actor-Network Theory.
