Faculty Member, School of Law and Government
About
I graduated from Trinity College Dublin with an LL.B in 1998 and from Queen's College, Cambridge with an LL.M in 1999. I attended the Honourable Society of Kings' Inns from 2000-2002 and was called to the Irish Bar in October 2002. My PhD on Irish Trade Union Membership was awarded by Trinity College Dublin in 2007. I have lectured in DCU since 2004, primarily on Employment Law and EU Law. I have been Director of Undergraduate Studies in the School of Law and Government since 2007.
My research interests are in the areas of employment and labour law, industrial relations (especially the role of trade unions) and social partnership. I am a National Rapporteur on Employment Law to the International Academy of Comparative Law.
I am a huge fan of the Irish football team, Manchester United, Real Murcia and Cork GAA. I do not care for Thierry Henry.
